Michael Insalaca is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Flagler College, affiliated with the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Math & Technology department. He joined Flagler in Fall 2006 and has prior teaching experience at institutions including Florida Atlantic University and multiple high schools. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Systems and Leadership (Curriculum/Instruction/Mathematics), two B.A. degrees (Mathematics from Thomas Edison State College and Spanish/Secondary Education from the University of Florida), and an M.Ed. in Foreign Language Education.

His research focuses on Curriculum and Program Development, complemented by active membership in the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Florida Foreign Language Association. Beyond academia, he plays viola in the St. Augustine Orchestra and Anastasia String Quartet, and volunteers in the Strings Alive! program.
Teaching responsibilities include courses ranging from Calculus to Business Math, and Liberal Arts Mathematics. He currently serves as a First-Year Advisor at Flagler College.
