Michael Hadskis is a University Teaching Fellow with joint appointments at Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law and School of Health Administration, and affiliation with the Health Justice Institute. He teaches Health Law, Tort Law, and Healthcare Law courses across law and health administration programs.
His research focuses on interdisciplinary health law and policy, particularly in informed consent standards, neuroimaging ethics, and vaccine policy. Key contributions include analyzing therapeutic privilege exceptions in Canadian jurisprudence, developing evidence-based vaccine labeling for maternal immunization, and establishing ethical frameworks for pediatric neuroimaging research.
His recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on medical decision-making autonomy, regulatory science for health products, and legal safeguards in end-of-life care, bridging law, ethics, and clinical practice.
