Michael H. Breitner is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Business Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) within the Faculty of Economics and Management at Leibniz University Hannover. He serves on the Executive Board of the Leibniz Research Centre for Energy and holds leadership roles in the Finance Group and Faculty Council. His research focuses on energy systems transformation, digital transformation in universities, AI/ML applications, big data analytics, and cybersecurity.
His academic career includes extensive work in energy informatics, mobility logistics, and decision support systems. Key projects include SiNED (secure power grids), TEN.efzn (digital energy research), and 5GAPS (5G-based positioning systems). He collaborates with industry partners like Lenze and government bodies such as the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science.
