Michael Grey

Dr. Michael Grey is Reader in Rehabilitation Neuroscience (equivalent to Associate Professor) at the University of East Anglia's School of Health Sciences. His research investigates neuroplasticity mechanisms in stroke, concussion, and traumatic brain injury using electrophysiology and neuroimaging.

Research focuses on optimizing neuromotor recovery through early intervention strategies, including intensive care neuromuscular stimulation. As Co-Principal Investigator for the RECOS trial, he examines repetitive concussion impacts in athletes. Recent work develops VR-based concussion assessment tools and monitors neurodegenerative risks in former athletes.
