Michael Gregory is a Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, serving as faculty director of the Youth Advocacy & Policy Lab and co-author of landmark publications on trauma-sensitive schools. He teaches in the Education Law Clinic, focusing on systemic advocacy for children affected by trauma and systemic barriers. His work integrates legal practice with policy reform, emphasizing education equity for vulnerable populations.
Gregory holds a JD from Harvard Law School (2004) and degrees from Brown University (BA 1998, MAT 1999). He received the Skadden Fellowship (2004) and Bellow Scholar recognition (2009). His research spans special education law, trauma-informed policies, and advocacy strategies for at-risk youth. He collaborates with Massachusetts Advocates for Children through the Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative (TLPI), advancing policies to support traumatized students.
Gregory's courses include the Education Law Clinic and seminars on legislative lawyering and systemic change. His publications address educational rights of homeless children, trauma-sensitive frameworks, and dispute resolution in special education. He advises through Harvard Law's clinics, blending legal education with real-world advocacy.
