Michael Gonyeau

Michael Gonyeau is a Clinical Professor at Northeastern University's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences. He serves as Interim Dean for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Interim Associate Dean for Bouvé College of Health Sciences. A board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the National Academies of Practice.

Dr. Gonyeau's research focuses on pharmacy education, with emphasis on curriculum design, course innovation, and student engagement. He has pioneered the integration of the Pharmacists' Patient Care Process into competency-driven educational frameworks and developed the MEDRISK tool for medication evaluation. His work explores the intersection of technology-enhanced learning and clinical pharmacy applications.

His recent publications highlight trends in pharmacy education reform, including electronic portfolio systems for simulated medical records, institutional EPA-based assessments for identity formation, and innovative approaches to disease management curricula. These works reflect his commitment to competency-driven education and educational technology integration.
