Michael Freund

Michael Freund is a Professor at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, serving in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering. He holds the position of Chairman of the Examination Board and serves as Head of the Strength Laboratory.

His teaching expertise lies in Technical Mechanics and Engineering Mathematics, with research interests focused on structural mechanics and material strength. Professor Freund is involved with multiple study programs including Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.), Environmental and Process Engineering (B.Eng.), Industrial Engineering (B.Eng.) part-time, and Technology Management (M.Eng.) part-time.

Professor Freund maintains regular consultation hours on Mondays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in room F 3.03, with additional appointments available by request. He oversees thesis topics and MAPR projects through the faculty's Moodle platform.
