Michael Freeman is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pediatrics and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Humanities, both at Pen State College of Medicine. He is also the Chief of the Division of Nephrology.

He has contributed to high-impact studies on holistic care models for transplant recipients and policy statements from the International Pediatric Transplant Association.
