Michael Freeman is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pediatrics and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Humanities, both at Pen State College of Medicine. He is also the Chief of the Division of Nephrology.

His work bridges clinical practice and ethical frameworks, particularly in organ allocation and symptom management.
Recent Publications: His research spans UAV integration in emergency operations, acute kidney injury in pediatric populations, and ethical guidelines for transplantation. He has contributed to high-impact studies on holistic care models for transplant recipients and policy statements from the International Pediatric Transplant Association.
