Michael Flanagan

Dr. Michael Flanagan is a Senior Lecturer and Fellow of the Foundation of Management Education at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) Business School. He joined academia in 2008 after a career in industry managing businesses in domestic appliances and PC assembly, holding director-level roles in Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Logistics. His teaching focuses on performance management, corporate finance, and security derivatives, with expertise in online teaching development for the Global Online Teaching Programme.

Education: PhD in Finance (University of Manchester, theoretical study of mortgage mitigation options). Professional qualifications include ACCA P4 instruction for PWC accounting professionals. Research interests span Real Estate, Strategic Negotiation, and Mortgage Mitigation, with conference presentations at international venues like AREUEA Washington, Tokyo University, and the University of Cambridge.
