معرفی
Michael Eides is a Professor and APS Fellow in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Kentucky. His research focuses on High-Energy Physics, particularly Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) and particle physics phenomena like muonium, positronium, and pentaquarks. He has made significant contributions to theoretical predictions of hyperfine splitting and Lamb shift in exotic atoms.
Dr. Eides' work spans precision tests of bound-state QED, theoretical modeling of exotic hadrons, and higher-order corrections in quantum field theory. His recent publications explore hadron physics, QED anomalies, and LHCb pentaquark states. Research interests include:
- High-precision calculations in atomic systems
- Exotic particle states in quantum chromodynamics
- Fundamental symmetries in quantum field theory
He has received the APS Fellowship recognizing his contributions to theoretical particle physics. His laboratory is located in the Chem-Phys Building at the University of Kentucky.
