Michael Devereux is a Professor of Business Taxation at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and serves as Emeritus Director of the Centre for Business Taxation. He holds Research Fellow positions at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, CESifo, and the Centre for Economic Policy Research. With a PhD in Economics from University College London, he previously chaired the Economics departments at Warwick and Keele Universities. His research focuses on the impact of taxation on corporate behavior, particularly international taxation, tax competition, and multinational firm strategies. He has advised the House of Lords, European Commission, OECD, and IMF, contributing to global tax policy reforms. Teaching includes MBA/EMBA modules on Firms and Markets and extensive involvement in the MSc Taxation program. His work addresses challenges like profit shifting, tax base erosion, and equitable corporate taxation frameworks.
