Michael Davis is the Executive Director of the Executive MBA Program and Practitioner in Residence at the Pompea College of Business, University of New Haven. He holds an MBA from the university with a concentration in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Bridgeport.
Davis spent 31 years at Nestlé, a Fortune 100 company, rising to Vice President and Officer. There, he built a 50-person tax department and contributed to over 40 acquisitions. He pioneered the first digital corporate tax department at Nestlé, leveraging platforms like SAP, Oracle, and Vertex for automation and standardization of global tax processes.
He joined Vertex in April 2018 as Chief Adviser and Tax Strategist, continuing his expertise in tax technology solutions. His academic career includes serving as Executive in Residence for the University of New Haven’s Executive MBA Program from 2003 to 2015.
