Michael Cheffena Gebresilassie

Michael Cheffena Gebresilassie is a Professor and Deputy Head of Research at the Faculty of Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Gjøvik. He specializes in radio communications, signal processing, and sensors, with a focus on antennas, millimeter-wave MIMO, physical-layer security, and machine learning applications in wireless systems. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Telecommunications (2008), M.Sc. in Signal Processing (2005), and B.Sc. in Computer Science (2003).

Research interests span antenna sensors, channel modeling, cooperative communications, and game theory. He has led projects such as the Air Quality Monitoring initiative (2021–2025) and Multiparameter Active Antenna Sensor (2020–2024).
