Dr. Michael Chamberlain is the National Wild Turkey Federation Distinguished Professor at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of Georgia. His primary role involves advancing wildlife ecology and management through research and education. He holds a Ph.D. in Forest Resources (Mississippi State University, 1999), an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology (1995), and a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science (Virginia Tech, 1993).
His research focuses on wildlife ecology and management, encompassing game and non-game species, endangered species conservation, wildlife-forest interactions, and population genetics. Specific areas of expertise include optimizing wildlife management strategies in forested ecosystems and understanding genetic dynamics of wildlife populations.
Dr. Chamberlain has been honored with the National Wild Turkey Federation Distinguished Professor title, reflecting his contributions to wildlife conservation.
