Michael Butler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics within the AddRan College of Liberal Arts at Texas Christian University. He teaches Intermediate Microeconomics and Economics of the European Union.
His research focuses on European Union economic systems and pedagogical approaches in economics education. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (1987), M.A. from Georgia State University (1982), and B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Emory University (1980).
Research publications address topics including sports economics (baseball attendance patterns), economic pedagogy (Coase Theorem instruction), and public economics (abortion legislation analysis).
