Michael Brolley is Associate Professor and PhD Coordinator (Finance) at Wilfrid Laurier University's Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. His research examines market microstructure innovations and technology-driven transformations in financial markets.
Current projects investigate dark trading mechanisms, decentralized exchange architectures, and cybersecurity challenges in FinTech ecosystems. His work analyzes how market design innovations impact liquidity provision, price efficiency, and execution risk.
Recent research includes empirical studies of maker-taker fee structures and behavioral economics approaches to plea-bargaining processes.
