Michael Bowling is a Professor in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Science. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning, and game theory, with applications in robotics and computer games. He leads the Computer Poker Research Group and developed the Arcade Learning Environment.
