Michael Alperovich

Dr. Michael Alperovich is an Associate Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in craniofacial and aesthetic surgery. He completed his MD at Johns Hopkins, MSc at Oxford, and residency/fellowship at NYU. As Director of the Craniofacial Fellowship at Yale, he focuses on congenital craniofacial defects, gender-affirming facial surgery, and aesthetic procedures. He has authored over 200 publications, serves on editorial boards, and received multiple awards including Connecticut Magazine's 'Top Doctors' (2022-2024). His research emphasizes surgical outcomes, health equity in craniofacial care, and AI applications in facial surgery. Dr. Alperovich is also a leader in teaching, having pioneered gender-affirming surgery courses and contributed to national surgical guidelines.
