Professor Michael Aiken is an esteemed academic and former Chancellor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His career spanned over four decades, including roles as Chair of the Sociology Department at the University of Wisconsin, Dean and Provost at the University of Pennsylvania, and Chancellor at UIUC. A foundational figure in EGOS, he co-founded the organization to foster European scholarly collaboration. His research focuses on organizational dynamics, power structures, urban policy, and critical sociological perspectives.
