Michael Agus is Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Division Chief of Medical Critical Care at Boston Children's Hospital, and holder of the Endowed Chair in Critical Care. He serves as Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Care Program, and Co-Medical Director of the Biocontainment Unit.

His research investigates endocrine homeostasis in critically ill children, with emphasis on glucose control strategies, diabetic ketoacidosis management, and adrenal pathophysiology. He co-led the landmark HALF-PINT trial examining tight glycemic control in pediatric ICUs.
