Micha Sharir holds the Alicia and Isaias Nizri Chair in Computational Geometry and Robotics at the School of Computer Science, Tel Aviv University, Israel. His research focuses on computational geometry, combinatorial geometry, and geometric optimization, with applications in robotics and motion planning. He has contributed extensively to geometric algorithms, arrangement structures, and algorithmic foundations.
Current interests include advancing algebraic techniques in combinatorial geometry, studying geometric optimization problems, and exploring motion planning in complex environments. He teaches courses such as Computational Geometry, Advanced Topics in Computational Geometry, and Algorithms.
