Micah J. Dobson, Ph.D., serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Sport Management in the Department of Health and Human Performance at the College of Business and Professional Studies, focusing on socially impactful sport management research and inclusive programming.

- M.S. in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, Sport Management from North Carolina State University
- Ph.D. in Sport Management from Northcentral University
Dr. Dobson's research examines after-school sports programs for at-risk youth, HBCU student-athlete career pathways, therapeutic recreation for children with special needs, and urban gentrification's impact on communities. He pioneers intersections of sport with hip-hop culture and AI applications in injury prevention while advocating for inclusive K-12 recreation programs.
