Mia Marcus is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Roosevelt University's College of Humanities, Education & Social Sciences. Her research focuses on social interactions' role in early childhood learning, particularly examining how parent-child conversations during hands-on activities influence children's knowledge retention and application across contexts. She actively investigates connections between early STEM-learning experiences and long-term scientific engagement.
- Education: PhD and MA in Developmental Psychology from Loyola University Chicago; BS in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
Her work aims to develop practical methods for parents and museum educators to foster young children's STEM understanding and interest through interactive dialogue.
