Mette Habekost is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University, working in the group of Prof. Malin Parmar. Her research focuses on direct reprogramming of human glia into dopaminergic neurons for Parkinson’s disease therapy using stem cell-based and pre-clinical models.

Her research spans neuroscience, stem cell biology, and molecular neurobiology, with recent work on 3D glia conversion models and AAV capsid engineering. Publications highlight applications in regenerative medicine and brain repair.
