Professor Mete Atatüre is a faculty member at the University of Cambridge, serving as a Professor of Physics and Head of the Cavendish Laboratory. He is also a Fellow of St John's College and holds roles as College Lecturer in Physics, Director of Studies for Physics and Astrophysics, and Tutor.

Research Focus
Professor Atatüre's research bridges quantum networks and quantum sensing. His team develops light-matter quantum interfaces for quantum network hardware using semiconductors, 2D layered materials, and diamond spins. He also investigates nanoscale quantum sensing through direct imaging of magnetic phenomena in novel materials.
