معرفی
Merle Frank is a Professor at Université de Cergy-Pontoise, with a career focused on nonlinear partial differential equations, dispersive equations, and mathematical physics. He has held prestigious positions such as Chair in Analysis at Cergy-IHÉS (2009–2020) and has been a visiting professor at institutions including Courant Institute, IAS Princeton, and University of Tokyo.
His research spans blow-up dynamics, global well-posedness, and scattering theory for nonlinear Schrödinger and wave equations. He has achieved groundbreaking results on minimal mass blow-up solutions, critical thresholds, and soliton stability, often collaborating with leading mathematicians like Carlos Kenig and Pierre Raphael.
Notable scientific awards include the AMS Bôcher Memorial Prize (2005), CNRS Silver Medal (2005), ERC Advanced Grant (2011), and the Prix Ampère de l'Électricité de France (2018). He has been a Plenary Speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians (2014).
