Merete Salveson Engeset

Merete Salveson Engeset is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Functioning, Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. Her work spans physiotherapy, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and clinical medicine.

• Education: Clinical Master in Physiotherapy (2011, HVL), PhD (2022, University of Bergen, Department of Clinical Medicine 2).
• Teaching: Courses in physiology, occupational physiology, health promotion, cardiac rehabilitation, and bachelor's thesis supervision.
• Research: Focus on extreme prematurity follow-up studies, throat/lung function after surgical closure of patent ductus arteriosus, exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO), and non-invasive respiratory support.
• Research Groups: Movement and Function (BeFu), Interdisciplinary Research Group for Sport/Health/Function, WestPeadResearch, and Bergen ILO group.
