Meredith Stevenson Duncan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health, serving as Director of Graduate Studies for the PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics program. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Vanderbilt University (2020) and an MA in Biostatistics from Boston University (2013).
Research Focus: Her work centers on cardiovascular health equity, particularly among people of color and LGBTQ+ populations. She aims to integrate social determinants of health and structural racism into cardiovascular risk prediction models to eliminate race-based risk assumptions. Her projects include the NIH-funded Power of Social Determinants of Health initiative and collaborations on health disparities in HIV and veteran populations.
