Dr. Mengfan Zhu is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Lyon College, joining in August 2024. He holds a B.S. in Applied Chemistry from South China University of Technology (2017), an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (2018), and a Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University (2023). He completed six months of postdoctoral research at Oklahoma State University随后. His research focuses on developing nanomaterials-based strategies to address challenges at the water-energy-environmental nexus, including novel polymer nanocoatings for energy-efficient membrane-based desalination and wastewater treatment. He teaches General Chemistry, Advanced Biomaterials, and special chemistry topics.
