Melvin Drent is an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at Tilburg University. He holds a PhD from the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (2021). His research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, particularly in supply chain management, manufacturing, and healthcare, with strong industry collaboration. He has received a Veni Grant from NWO and funding from Dinalog for logistics innovations. He also earned the 2024 Best Master Teacher award at Eindhoven University of Technology.
