Melissa Pashigian is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Bryn Mawr College, specializing in cultural and medical anthropology with a focus on reproductive technologies and global health.

Her research examines the social politics of infertility in Vietnam, the intersection of reproductive health policy with treatment-seeking behaviors, and the globalization of assisted reproductive technologies across Southeast Asia and France. She also investigates donor gamete use, cross-cultural healing practices, and how public spaces shape marginalized identities.
Melissa teaches courses including medical anthropology, anthropology of reproduction, Southeast Asian cultures, and senior-level conferences.
