Melissa Nichols serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife within the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources at Michigan State University. Concurrently, she holds a critical role as Human Dimensions Analyst for the Michigan Invasive Species Program, a cross-departmental initiative spanning the Michigan Departments of Natural Resources; Agriculture and Rural Development; and Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
Her academic foundation includes bachelor's and master's degrees in Biology from Grand Valley State University. Prior to her current position, she dedicated eight years to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division research section, where she executed projects in wildlife ecology, behavior, and human dimensions analysis.
