Melissa Michelle Yu

Melissa Michelle Yu, M.D., FAAN is a Professor of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. She holds multiple leadership roles including Director of Clinical Operations at the Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders Center, Associate Medical Director of the Baylor Clinic, and Physician Informaticist at Baylor College of Medicine.

Her education includes an MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine (2000), followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Baylor College of Medicine (2004). She also holds certifications in Healthcare Management (Rice University, 2014) and Healthcare Informatics (University of Texas, 2016).

Dr. Yu’s research focuses on memory disorders, healthcare management, and informatics. She actively addresses issues like healthcare fragmentation, electronic medical records optimization, and quality improvement in neurology practice. Her work emphasizes bridging clinical care with systemic efficiency.
