Melissa Hitzler is a trauma researcher at Ulm University, focusing on biomolecular mechanisms linking childhood maltreatment to mental disorders. She works in the Department of Clinical & Biological Psychology under Prof. Iris-Tatjana Kolassa, investigating immunmetabolic alterations, DNA integrity, and psychotherapy response in PTSD.
