Melissa Henry is Professor and Director in the School of Nursing at University of Northern Colorado. With a Ph.D. in Nursing from University of Arizona, her research examines physiologic mechanisms in obesity/diabetes development and stress in nursing education environments.
Her primary research areas include:
- Prevention strategies for obesity and type 2 diabetes
- Stress management for nursing students and faculty
- Simulation pedagogy in nursing education
- Job satisfaction and burnout in healthcare
Henry maintains clinical expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner and investigates interventions to improve health outcomes through nursing practice and education.
