Melissa Gish

Melissa Gish is a Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the Chemistry and Nanoscience Research Center. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Southern California.

• Research Focus: Ultrafast spectroscopy, photophysics, electron transfer, solar energy conversion, and interfacial dynamics in molecular/material systems.
• Community Engagement: Co-founded NREL's Full Spectrum Network and Postdoc and Graduate Student Network.

Her work spans semiconductor photophysics, CO2 reduction catalysis, and materials development for solar fuel production. Recent publications highlight collaborations on nitride compounds, polymer nanoparticles, and thin-film absorbers.
