Melissa Brunsvold

Melissa Brunsvold, MD, is a Professor in the Division of Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She serves as the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency, Clinical Director of the SimPORTAL Simulation Center, and Medical Director of both the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program. Her work focuses on surgical education, critical care innovations, and simulation-based training.
