Melissa Brown

Melissa Brown is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UW-Milwaukee), where she directs the Traditional BS Program. She teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology and serves as an NCLEX mentor.

Research Interests: Dr. Brown focuses on health behavior change in chronically and acutely ill populations, with a specific emphasis on self-management and self-regulation. Her dissertation explored health behavior change among women at risk for osteoporosis using ecological momentary assessments. Recently, her work centers on NCLEX preparation and test anxiety among nursing students.

Additional Roles: Dr. Brown maintains a part-time role as an Adult ICU Registered Nurse in Milwaukee while continuing her academic work at UW-Milwaukee.
