Melinda Nagy

Melinda Nagy is a Professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Education at Selye János Egyetem (János Selye University) in Komárno, Slovakia. She holds academic titles including Dr. habil., PaedDr., and PhD. Her research focuses on biology, anthropology, genetics, physiology, and pedagogy. She has been affiliated with the university since 2004.

• Habilitation in Anthropology from Eszterházy Károly University
• Doctoral studies in Anthropology at Prešov University
• Initial teacher training in Biology and Art Education at Prešov University

Research Interests: Dr. Nagy's work spans multiple disciplines, emphasizing genetic studies of Roma populations, health pedagogy, and livestock biology. Her projects include analyzing mastitis in dairy sheep, bioimpedance for sarcopenia prevention, and sleep habits in schoolchildren. She actively collaborates on EU-funded initiatives like Horizon2020 projects addressing educational inequality and health literacy.
