Melinda Moustakis is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the English Department at the College of the Holy Cross. Her research and creative work focus on literary fiction and creative writing, with a particular emphasis on regional narratives and narrative craft. She holds a PhD from Western Michigan University.
Her novel Homestead (2023) was honored as an NPR Best Book of the Year and a finalist for the Colorado Book Award. Her short story collection Bear Down, Bear North: Alaska Stories won the Flannery O'Connor Award and earned a National Book Foundation's 5 Under 35 distinction.
