Melinda Earle, DNP, RN, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Women, Children and Family Nursing at Rush University College of Nursing. She concurrently directs the Transformative Leadership: Systems Program within the College of Health Sciences, focusing on Health Systems Management. Her office is located at 600 S. Dr. Earle's research centers on Health Systems Management, Nursing Education, and Vulnerable Populations Health. She explores Electronic Health Record optimization, simulation-based learning, and interventions for homeless populations. Her work extends to Women's Health, Mental Health nursing in general units, and Chronic Disease Management, aiming to reduce disparities and improve outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Her recent publications reveal a trend toward practical healthcare system improvements, especially in EHR optimization and nursing education. A significant portion addresses homeless health, including primary care access and chronic disease screening. She also contributes to women's health and mental health, demonstrating a broad impact on healthcare delivery and nursing practice.
Dr. Earle has been honored with multiple fellowships:
