Melike Wulfgramm is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark's Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Political Science and Public Management. She is part of the Danish Centre for Welfare Studies and the Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics (CPop). Her research examines the interplay between social and labor market policies, political attitudes, and societal outcomes like well-being, social inclusion, and healthcare access. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Bremen (2014), where her dissertation analyzed how labor market policies mediate unemployment effects on well-being and reemployment stability in Europe.
Her work focuses on comparative analyses of European welfare systems, emphasizing disparities in policy impacts across populations. Notable research areas include healthcare inequalities linked to out-of-pocket payments, stigmatization of long-term unemployment, and the role of unions in addressing inequality. Wulfgramm teaches policy evaluation, quantitative methods, and comparative social policy, contributing to both academic and practical understandings of welfare state dynamics. Her contributions span policy design implications, institutional analysis, and cross-national comparisons of social and economic inequality trends.
