Melike B. Albaba

Melike B. Albaba is a Senior Lecturer in TESOL and Teacher Education at Sheffield Hallam University's Sheffield Institute of Education, recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her expertise spans language teacher education, multilingual education, and teacher learning. She leads the External Interdisciplinary Network on Multilingualism and co-coordinates the ELINET Language Education strand.

Her research investigates English teachers' perceptions of multilingualism in Vietnam and strategies for enhancing multilingual learner support in higher education. She teaches on the MA TESOL and PgCert programmes and holds leadership roles in postgraduate employability and social justice initiatives.

Recent Publications: Focus on linguistic repertoires in multilingual settings, visual methodologies in learner studies, and longitudinal analyses of teacher development. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in diverse educational contexts.
