Melanie Seltmann, M.A., is a Researcher and Project Employee at the Institute of Library and Information Science (IBI) at Humboldt University Berlin, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts. Her work focuses on the BMBF Data Competence Center QUADRIGA, contributing to research on data literacy, digital humanities, and citizen science. She holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science and has extensive involvement in digital research infrastructure projects.
Her research interests include Annotation methodologies, Research Data Management, Digital Humanities, Data and Information Literacy, Citizen Science initiatives, and Science Communication strategies. She actively participates in professional associations such as DHd (Digital Humanities in German-speaking countries), the German Society for Linguistics (DGfS), and the Society for Language Technology and Computational Linguistics (GSCL).

Melanie Seltmann is based at the IBI’s Dorotheenstraße 26 location and leads initiatives in QUADRIGA’s educational resource development. She co-convenes the DHd-AG Digital Science Communication and Public Humanities working group and contributes to projects like the NFDI Consortium for open editions and the Austrian Citizen Science network.
