Melanie Kessler

Melanie Kessler is the Head of the HLA Laboratory at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine within the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). She leads research and diagnostic activities focused on human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing and immunogenetics, critical for transfusion medicine and organ transplantation compatibility. Her role involves advancing clinical and research applications in histocompatibility testing.
