Melanie Heaton is an Extension Assistant Professor at Utah State University (USU) Extension Garfield County, serving as the Garfield County Director. She works within the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources under the College of Agriculture and Applied Science.
Her focus areas include agricultural sciences and natural resource management, supporting community development through research-based education and outreach. USU Extension Garfield County provides programs in 4-H youth development, home and community education, rural innovation, and wellness initiatives.
