Melanie Hart, Ph.D., is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management at Texas Tech University. Her academic career spans teaching and research in motor behavior and physical education.

- B.S., Secondary Education (Mathematics & Physical Education), Texas Tech University (1981)
Her research focuses on Motor Skill Learning and Physical Activity levels in children, integrating pedagogical strategies and neurophysiological assessments. She has published on modeling effects in motor development and EEG patterns during physical tasks.
Dr. Hart has been recognized with multiple honors, including membership in the Texas Tech University Teaching Academy and the Research Consortium of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She served as an Outstanding Faculty Member in the College of Arts and Sciences and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.
