Melanie Ferguson

Melanie Ferguson is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery within the UWA Medical School at The University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on hearing impairment, quality of life, and sensory aids, with particular emphasis on healthcare interventions for aging populations. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.

Her recent work includes protocols for sensory support interventions in long-term and home care settings, systematic reviews on non-medical amplification devices, and the development of self-report measures for hearing health empowerment.
