Melanie E. Moses is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of New Mexico with a secondary appointment in Biology and External Faculty status at the Santa Fe Institute. Her affiliations include Co-directorship of the UNM Program in Interdisciplinary Biological and Biomedical Sciences (PiBBs) and affiliation with the UNM Spatio Temporal Modeling Center (STMC).
Her research centers on complex adaptive systems, developing computational models of biological phenomena like ant colonies and immune systems to engineer robust solutions for swarm robotics and environmental challenges.
