Melanie Cole is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Christian Ministries at Bethel University’s College of Adult and Professional Studies. She has been affiliated with the university since 2017, focusing on integrating educational and pastoral practices. Her academic background includes a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Seattle Pacific University (2005) and an M.A. in Ministry Leadership from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (2017).
Her research emphasizes trauma-informed pastoral care, exploring how ministries can better support individuals through sensitive care practices. Professionally, she has served as a pastor and currently trains leaders in areas like spiritual formation, marriage ministry, and children’s programming. She has presented workshops such as the Micah 6:8 “Love Mercy” initiative and holds certifications in cultural intelligence, mental health first aid, and intergroup dialogue.
